Cookie Baking Tools (Better, Faster Baking)

Published: Jul 11, 2021 · Updated: Oct 29, 2022 by Jennifer · This post may contain affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Sure there are basic tools for making cookies but what are the tools the OG home bakers can't live without? You know, the bakers who churn out 2,000 cookies for a wedding table? Or a fundraiser?

Someone asked the question "what are the cookie baking tools and tips to make your baking better, faster or easier" in a baking group I'm in and a few of the answers surprised me so I thought I would share the list with you, dear reader.

    What's the Best Baking Equipment?

Many of the tools weren't terribly surprising.

A Kitchen-Aid Stand Mixer topped the list.

A stand mixer is a powerful machine and it can be a time saver if you're making a lot of cookies.

An eight-quart Kitchen-Aid can make dough for 13 dozen cookies.

What did surprise me? Duck eggs.

Yes, duck eggs topped the list for one baker who prefers them over chicken eggs.

“The whites are higher in protein and the yolks are higher in fat than chicken eggs - and that's a powerhouse combo in baking.”

More Tools and Ingredients to Elevate Your Baking

    • Parchment paper
    • Pre-cut Parchment paper 12 x 18 or 9x13
    • Kitchen Scale
    • —“Weighing ingredients is much faster and more precise.”
    • Measuring cups from Pampered Chef
    • Joseph Joseph Rolling Pin
    • Extra bowls and paddles for stand mixer
    • Silicone mat
    • Silicone Spatula
    • Rubbermaid high heat spoonulas in assorted sizes
    • Odd size measuring cups from Williams Sonoma
    • Rolling pin with measuring rings
    • Bench scraper
    • Battery Operated Electric Flour Sifter (I didn't know this was a thing until yesterday)
    • Cookie scoops
    • Stacking cooling racks
    • Tart tamper
    • Danish dough whisk
    • Tassie pans
    • Extra counter space (find out how to get this without construction)
    • Vanilla Bean Paste

    A good tip:

“I keep a set of measuring cups in each of my flour, sugar, brown sugar, and powdered sugar containers, which are Tupperware or Rubbermaid. It is so handy not to have to look for a measuring cup whenever I need one. Also put a teaspoon in salt, baking powder, and baking soda containers.”

Tell me what you would add to this list.
