White Trash!
Don't come at me for calling this recipe what it is: basic white trash.
This recipe got its name because you're using up the leftover bits and ends from your pantry.
And then covering the whole thing with, usually a white chocolate or an almond bark or coating.
This is definitely a salty sweet recipe. If that's your jam, then you've got to try White Chocolate snack mix, Muddy Buddies, Pretzel Peanut Butter Cup Bars or Frito Bars or Congo Bars or Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies.

How to Make White Trash
This is probably of of the simplest recipes you'll make.
Measure your ingredients.
Put cereal, pretzels and peanuts in a large mixing bowl and stir it together with a spatula or your hands.
Melt almond bark or white chocolate and pour it over the bowl of ingredients.
Stir until all of the cereal, pretzels and nuts are coated.
Pour onto a parchment or wax paper-lined baking sheet and let it rest until the mix sets up and dries.
You can melt almond bark any way you melt white chocolate or milk or dark chocolate.
It's easier to get a creamy melted chocolatey texture with almond bark but it can be quick to burn just like white chocolate.
Usually I use a double boiler, but I decided to try just melting the bark in a sauce pot, which worked well.
You may need to add a teaspoon of vegetable oil or canola oil to the almond bark so it's thin enough to thoroughly stir into the pretzels and peanuts mixture.
Almond Bark Melting Tips
Make sure however you're melting the bark, that your pan or bowl and spatula or spoon is scrupulously clean. Any speck of dirt or oil can cause the bark to seize.
Don't walk away from the stove while melting the bark.
Stir thoroughly being sure to scrape the bottom of the pan or bowl thoroughly. This makes sure that you don't develop any hot spots in your bark or chocolate as well as keeping the candy from sticking to the pot.
Once the bark starts to melt, which should only take two to three minutes, remove it from heat and continue stirring.
Work quickly once you have the bark melted.
Let rest for 45 minutes to an hour so the mix sets up all the way. You'll have clumps perfect for snacking.
Packaging Ideas
Once the white trash has stuck to together and is all nice and clumpy, package in a wax paper lined tin or an airtight container.
If you're giving this as a gift, you can package it in a mason jar with a bow.
Storage and Make Ahead
Make white trash up to two weeks ahead and store in a tin or airtight container at room temperature. Leave it on the counter.
