Triple Chocolate Crunch Brownies
Triple chocolate crunch brownies are the easiest brownies you could possibly make. Start with a boxed brownie mix and add a ยฝ cup of chocolate chips and one cup of chocolaty cereal for chewy, fudge-like brownie perfection.

We are taking a cookie break this week to talk about brownies.
I think that I am brownie's biggest fan. Brownie has been with me for years. In fact, I can probably attribute part of my left butt cheek solely to brownies. I don't remember when I first baked my own 9x13 pan of brownies or when I first ate a brownie but as an adult, I've made batches for bake sales, during winter snow storms, on lazy days when we want a treat but I don't want to bake cookies.
This particular batch was born from laziness and frustration. I'd been planning to make a brownie cookie recipe but my research efforts were failing me and I just really needed a brownie.
I had a box of tiny chocolate ball cereal lingering on the counter that the menfolk had lost interest in and well, we always have chocolate chips around, so I added them to the mix once I added the obligatory eggs, water and vegetable oil.
I think you'll really enjoy these. They taste like bakery brownies, I think. Moist, fudgy and rich. You should also note that the inclusion of cereal adds a bit of crunch--similar to the crunch you might get if you added chopped walnuts or pecans. So, if you're dealing with a nut allergy, try this recipe.

Recipe
Triple Chocolate Crunch Brownies

1 18.3 box brownie mix
¼ cup water
¼ cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
½ cup chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)
1 cup chocolate cereal
Preheat oven to 350.
Prepare a 13x9 pan with non-stick spray and/or parchment paper.
Pour brownie mix into a large bowl, add water and vegetable oil and mix well. Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly, maybe one minute using a stand mixer. Mixture should be glossy.
Add chocolate chips and cereal. Stir until just combined.
Spoon brownie mixture into pan and bake 21 to 23 minutes.
Remember to use your nose. When you start to smell freshly baked brownies they will be done or nearly so.
You can use any box of mix you would like for this recipe.
