How to Make Chocolate Covered Strawberries for Christmas
1. Prep the Strawberries
Wash and dry strawberries thoroughly. Let them rest on a linen towel or paper towels until you're ready to dip them. Any moisture will prevent the chocolate from sticking.
2. Melt the Chocolate
Place chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 10–20 second intervals, stirring until smooth and glossy.
For extra guidance see how to melt chocolate.

3. Dip and Decorate
Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into melted chocolate, letting excess chocolate drip off.
Set strawberries on parchment paper or wax paper to dry.
Work quickly if you're going to add sprinkles, drizzle contrasting chocolate or decorate to resemble Christmas trees or ornaments.

5. Serve or Gift
Arrange on a platter or in small boxes for gifting.

Christmas Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Chocolate Covered Strawberries are the perfect blend of juicy fruit and rich, glossy chocolate. Made with fresh berries and your choice of dark, milk, or white chocolate, they’re simple to make yet look beautifully impressive. Dress them up with sprinkles, crushed nuts, or a drizzle of contrasting chocolate for an easy dessert that fits any celebration—from Valentine’s Day to Christmas.
Ingredients
- 12 fresh strawberries
- 1 cup milk chocolate melting wafers
- 1 cup white chocolate melting wafers
- ½ cup green chocolate melting wafers
- ¼ cup mini red and green M&Ms
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Melt the milk and white chocolate in separate microwave-safe bowls in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
- Dip half of the strawberries in white chocolate and the other half in milk chocolate, rotating to coat each evenly up to the stem.
- Place the dipped strawberries on the prepared baking sheet and let them harden at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
- Melt the green chocolate in a microwave safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Drizzle it over each strawberry to resemble Christmas light wires.
- Working quickly before the drizzle sets, press mini red and green M&Ms along the green lines to look like colorful Christmas bulbs.
- Let the strawberries set for another 10 minutes at room temperature or until completely hardened.
Notes
- If you don’t have green melting wafers, you can use white chocolate and tint it with green food coloring instead or you can use icing.
