You can put the cream cheese on top of the refrigerator to help it warm up faster.
If you use cream creese straight from the fridge, it can take a while to beat it enough to fully incorporate with powdered sugar to create the icing.

Cream cheees icing without butter is the perfect drizzly topping for your cinnamon rolls, muffins and banana bread.
Ingredients
- 8-ounce full fat cream cheese, room temperature
- 4 cups confectioner's sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanila extract
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Beat cream cheese with an electric mixer in a large mixing bowl until fluffy, about 5 minutes
- Add vanila extract, salt and powdered sugar to bowl.
- Continue beating until the sugar has thoroughly incorporated into the cream cheese.
Notes
Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature otherwise it wil take a lot longer for an icing to form.
