Summer Dinner Ideas
I made you this list of the dishes we’re having for dinner in July to give you ideas about what to make yourself.
“What’s for dinner?” is probably the question I find the most annoying.
That’s because I’m far from the world’s most graceful wife and mother.
Sometimes when I hear the dinner question, I want to scream ‘Have you animals never seen a stove before?”
But I don’t.
Anyway, the dinner question is a little easier if I come up with a plan or even a rough sketch of what to cook in any given month.
There are 31 days in July and 17 ideas here. That’s because we’ll have leftovers every so often or go out.
Keep in mind, the best menu plan is one your people will eat.
We all really love fish and seafood so we eat that at least once a week.
So, if that’s not you, replace the fish maybe with vegetarian dishes? Bagels? Lamb?
The July Dinner List
Burgers with Dill Jalapeno Potato Salad (grill chicken also)
Hot dogs and pretzels
BBQ Chicken Pizza
Big salads topped with grilled chicken
Homemade pizza with chive pesto
Spicy beef tacos
7 Layer Dip Nachos
Chicken Quesadillas (using leftover Beer Can Chicken)
Mussels in white wine sauce with french bread
Sweet and spicy pork chops with apple fennel salad
Spaghetti, garlic bread and a green salad
Crab lettuce wraps (I say wraps but we’ll probably inhale fistfuls of crab meat while standing over the kitchen sink) Crab’s a messy business.
