Hey ya’ll,
I’ve got lots of stuff I’ve gotta share + you’ve gotta see this week:
For Food
Since it’s June, grills should be firing up everywhere.
See these 9 steps to improving your grill game from Food52. Do you know how to use your fingers to determine what temperature your grill is? And I found a new idea: grilling garlic scapes before making my favorite garlic scape pesto. Never thought about grilling them but I can’t wait to try it. I am, however, going to have to find a new source, my usual suspect didn’t get any of that variety of garlic that produces scapes planted last year because of Maine’s freak November snowstorm.
Speaking of grilling, every time I try to grill fish it sticks to the grill. If that’s your problem too, Bon Appetit has help for us.
Do you prefer red meat? Cook’s Illustrated gives a recipe for ultimate charcoal grilled steaks.

Let’s keep it real. I have a stressful day job where I have to exercise my brain A Lot as I’m sure most of you do. So when I’m home and the day is nearly over and I’ve been good and worked on this website and cooked for 46 and 12, I like a little escape. Right now, I’m watching Pretty Little Liars.
The fashions, the drama, the murder, the mayhem, the teenagers acting like 30′ somethings! I can’t get enough. I’ve just started watching Season Five on Netflix and I’m torn. I want to drag it out but we also have Hulu, which is airing Season Six. So I’m not sure if I should binge-watch Season Five so I can start watching Season Six on Hulu or not. My schedule will probably make the decision for me, which means it will probably be drawn out. Sigh. I need to buy a winning lottery ticket.
Your turn, tell me what you’ve gotta share this week in the comments 🙂
Have a great week,
Jennifer
