Hola amigo y amiga 🙂
Are you ready to see my Sungold tomato creation story?
I hope so because this story is so beautiful and so delicious.
Here’s what happened:
My tomato parents hooked up in June and began forming flowers in early July.
And now, early September, they are ripe and orangey-yellow and delicious!
Finally, harvest season time has arrived in Maine. I picked all of these tiny orangey yellow Sungold tomatoes in one go last night in the garden. There are a few plum-size tomatoes as well, which are really good but whose strain I cannot remember.
I like to eat them just as they are. I also like to eat them with just a dash of sea salt, which really brings out their sweetness.
Sometimes, I take a knife to my beloved babies and (gasp) put them on a piece of garlic bread with a few mangled slices of basil and a sprinkle of parmesan, you know, bruschetta.

Do you grow tomatoes? What kind?
Happy eating, XO,
Jennifer
Ohhhhh sooooo beautiful!
If you want to have a TOMATO BLOCK PARTY add some olive oil, sea salt, garlic, and fresh basil…….
That sounds really great Jessica! I wish I could have fresh Sungold’s year-round. Do you have outdoor space at your apt. to grow things?
No, I don’t have outdoor space. My plants live at work…at home the cats would just knock them over, since they have claimed all ownership of all window spaces.
Cats are such divas.
