Hello! Welcome to my 31 day series: Crush Your Food Costs.
Today, Day 11 Rotisserie Chicken to the Rescue, which is an easy one.
Do you have a certain nights of the week that are busier than others? Do those turn into drive-through nights? Plan ahead by stopping for a rotisserie chicken in the deli. You could eat it as is with a salad on the side and/or fast microwave baked potatoes. Or, use the chicken as a base in one of the meals below.
I’ve found rotisserie chickens to be a good value, most of the time. I lift up a handful of rotisserie chickens until I find two that feel heavier than the others. Then I walk over to the produce aisle and weigh each of them on the scale to see which will offer me more for my money. 🙂 Do I get a few looks? Occasionally. But I always put the ones I’m not buying right back.
Here’s a printable below for you to click on and print out to hang on your fridge if you need help remembering ideas for using a rotisserie chicken.
What are your favorite ways to use a rotisserie chicken?
Come back tomorrow for another way to crush your food costs.
