First Leaf has a screaming deal for Black Friday.
Alas, I cannot share the details with you yet. But it involves multiple bottles of wine at a great price.
Also, if you don't think you want the calories involved with having six bottles of wine in the house, divide up the box for gifts. Keep one to try and give the others away.
Speaking of wine deals, the shopping day of all shopping days is a week away!
I’ve started a page with Black Friday deals on wine, bakeware, cookware, meal deliveries and a Hulu subscription, among other goodies.
The page will be live on Monday night.
Another Friday favorite classification is the garden.
I’m patting myself on the back because I got winter rye planted in the garden this week.
So the garden has officially been put to sleep until spring.
Winter rye is the best thing you can plant in the fall.
It fertilizes the soil over the winter and supposedly keeps weeds at bay.
That last one sounds like a miracle so we shall see.
When I was at the local feed and seed buying the winter rye they had a barrel of paperwhite bulbs so I got a dozen.
Now I just need to find some sand to use as a base for planting. I love paperwhites. They are such a cheer in the dead of winter when the garden is resting.

Flesh and Bone--a series on PBS that one of my girlfriend’s told me to watch.
If you love a good mystery and a bit of dark humor, you’ll enjoy it too.
My only aggravation is that there appear to be only four episodes and the story seems to be far from over. So, I’m not sure if they halted production due to the pandemic or what.
I have PBS through Prime VIdeo. You can get a free trial here.
Pie: I’ve got my pie pants ready.
I’m making the following for Thanksgiving:
Pumpkin Pie Recipe, Only 2 cups Pumpkin Puree Needed
And last but not least, Key Lime Pie
Need a Thanksgiving wine recommendation?
You can usually find these for under $10 a bottle.
