Why You'll Love This Recipe
- Easy --only four ingredients needed, refrigerated biscuit dough, melted butter, cinnamon and sugar.
- Quick--Air Fryer Donuts cook in under ten minutes.
- Inexpensive-Use a storebrand canned biscuit dough, which you should be able to find for less than a dollar. They are at my grocery stores for under a dollar a can still. You can use a fancy refrigerated biscuit dough with flaky layers like Grands if you like but it isn't necessary.
Ingredients
You just need four ingredients:
- Canned biscuit dough from your grocery store refrigerated aisle ( usually near the dairy section)
- Melted butter or shortening
- Cinnamon
- Granulated sugar
How to Make This Recipe
- Preheat air fryer at 350 F° degrees for five minutes
- While the fryer is preheating, open up the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit round in four pieces. A pair of kitchen sheers will make this fast work. Or use a sharp knife and a cutting board. Set aside.
- Measure a quarter cup of granulated sugar and stir in a tablepoon of ground cinnamon.
- Put a parchment round in the air fryer basket.
- Place a layer of donut holes on the paper and cook at 190 F° for four minutes. (Your time will vary depending on the power of your air fryer and the size of your biscuits).
- Flip over and cook another four minutes or until the donut pieces are light golden brown
- Melt the butter in a microwave safe bowl or in a small saucepot on the stovetop.
- Toss the donut holes in the melted butter and roll around using a fork or spoon to coat.
- Move the donut holes to a bowl of cinnamon sugar mixture and coat thoroughly.
- Enjoy!

Notes
Be sure to preheat your air fryer.
Air fryers vary in wattage so yours maybe more or less powerful than the one I'm using. So keep an eye on your biscuit dough to avoid over cooking.
Keep in mind you may need to cook your air fryer donut holes at a higher temperature or for a longer time if your machine isn't as powerful.
If you don't like little squares of biscuit dough you can make them circles by rolling the pieces between your palms.
You can use powdered sugar or a glaze of powdered sugar and milk as an alternative to cinnamon sugar.
These are best eaten the day they're made.'
