5 Things I’m Loving this Week
Hi, how are you and what’s going on in your world?
I am good and here’s my list of loves for the week of May 13, 2019
1. Wunder coffee yogurt
Being post menopausal, I’m trying to up my calcium intake.
Make no mistake, I’m in no danger of developing osteoporosis.
Yes. I’m a Caucasian woman–usually a high risk group for osteo-but I’m not of the dainty, fragile bone variety.
However, I do want to make sure my bones are in the best shape they can be in as I enter the second half of my life.
P.s. This is not a sponsored post for Wunder Creamery, I just happened to try their yogurt and really like the way it tastes. The nutritional content–15 grams of protein and a dose of calcium is a plus.
Are you wondering why they call it quark? I sure was because the only Quark I know about is the design software that my newspaper used before InDesign came on the scene.
2. This color pink
I found it as a set of towels at T.J. Maxx this week.
Didn’t buy it because I prefer one particular brand of towels that are super soft and hold up like the dickens.
But I adore the color.
I have a similar shade on my toes.
If I only could wear one color my entire life it would be pink. I am That pink person.
But if that’s the case, why is so much of my wardrobe black? Do you have any theory?
3. Tim Conway
The comedian passed away Tuesday and I’m so sad about that but it prompted me to look back at his videos.
He was such a talent.
I think he did his best work on The Carol Burnett Show.
His dentist skit was one of my favorites.
It took me a few classes to get comfortable with Shari’s style but now she’s one of my favorite Yoga International teachers.
Shari is deliberate and gives continual instruction about how to position yourself within each pose.
This is a 20 minute Hatha practice that’s particularly useful for women but even men could benefit from it.
Shakti is the Hindu goddess responsible for all creation and divine energy.
This practice that Shari has created helps you build and contain shakti energy in your pelvis.
5. Clay pots
I just inherited a bunch of clay pots from big ones to small ones from my boss and his wife who are moving out of state in June.
Plants look so good in a simple clay pot, don’t you think?
And when said pots are free, they look even better!
