Hello morning glory,
What’s going on in your corner of the world? Winter finally arrived in Maine. Snow and 20’s. I’m not going to gripe about it though. We had a good run of pretty mild temperatures in November and December, unlike last year, which is also known as the worst winter weather of my 45 years.
2016 is approaching quickly. Do you make resolutions? I used to but I don’t any more. I don’t think they’re productive for me. I try to make improvements over the year. I instituted some good habits during 2015 that I hope to continue such as drinking 100 ounces of water a day and tidying up.
During 2016, I’d like to work on crow pose in yoga and chop our monthly health insurance premium in half. After refinancing this year, I was alarmed to realize that we now pay more for health insurance than we do for our house payment. Granted, we have a tiny house. But still. That seems way out of whack to me.
Have you heard about the Buy Nothing Groups? I’d love to start one in my area but, I write a shopping column for the local paper. So I don’t think it’s a good idea. The point of the column is to stir interest in the local economy, not avoid it.
This is a question for anyone over 35. When was the last time you took a selfie? Step up your selfie game
Are your kids growing up? I can totally relate to many of these, specifically #4, 5,6,8, 10, 12, 13 and 24.
Tell me, do you make resolutions? Why or why not. If you are making them, what are they?
Happy New Year, XO
