How have you been? Did your team win the Super Bowl? My favorite kitten won the Kitten Bowl! But who am I kidding, all of the kitties are my favorites.
Valentine’s Day is Sunday. Do you have plans? I think our plans will be to sit huddled around the furnace. The forecasted temperature for the weekend is in the single digits with a lot of snow Saturday.
We got out last Saturday to see a movie–we went to see Revenant with Leonardo DiCaprio. It was really good. I liked it even though it was totally not my cup of tea. I’m all about suspense or a dumb comedy. Revenant is a dark drama of one man’s survival long ago and far away. Supposedly based on a true story. He was one tough you know what if he really did experience the things shown in the movie.
Here’s my weekly Love List for you. I’m sharing great finds: an idea for a Cookbook Club, Seed Starting Advice + an Interactive Art Exhibit from Your Laptop and what does your favorite Valentine’s Day candy say about your personality?
Have you heard of cookbook clubs? As an introvert, the only entertaining I like to do is entertaining you, dear reader, on this website. But, the cookbook club is a clever idea. I especially like the idea of smug points. 🙂
Do you like art? You’ve got to check out this interactive exhibit of Hieronymus Bosch’s famous Garden of Earthly Delight. Coolest thing I’ve seen online in years. Make sure your headphones are handy.
“Besides the exploration of the art historical story of the painting we will give insight to the creative process of Jheronimus Bosch. In a web interface the visitor will be taken on an audio-visual journey, including sound, music, video and images to enrich the storytelling. The visitor of the interactive documentary will get a better understanding of what it was like to live in the Late Middle Ages, and for example of what importance religion was in daily life. The interactive documentary can be read like a book, one can come back after a visit and pick up the book again from the shelf to further explore.
The Garden of Earthly Delights is a story about moral and sin in a particular time. The painting however is timeless. The journey that the visitor sets out on in the interactive documentary is a personal one. Beneath the surface we aim to invite the visitor to reflect upon and question their sins and morals.”
It’s not time for me to start seeds yet in Maine but it may very well be in your corner of the world. Margaret Roach is a gardening blogger who provides super useful information, like these 18 confidence building tips for starting seeds.
I need all the tips. I’ve only been starting seeds for a few years now and usually I wait long enough that I can leave the trays of seeds in the barn. I always feel like I’m putting a lot of faith in God when I plant seeds. There are so many variables. So many ways to screw it up and keep seeds from growing.
Your turn, leave your answers to the following questions in the comments.
- What’s your favorite candy?
- What are you doing for Valentine’s Day?
- Do you start seeds? What kind? Any tips to share?
- What kind of art do you like?
I hope you have lots of candy and flowers and all the things you love for Valentine’s Day.
