Greetings from the land of frost. Minus 5 tonight here on the fair coast of Maine as I work on these January loves for you, friend. I’m wearing fleece long underwear, an extra shirt and a leopard print scarf, because, you know, leopard goes with everything, including frozen toes and fleece.
What’s it like where you are? Send me some sunshine–and heat–if you’ve got any to spare, will you?
Dior Capture Total Dream Skin
I got a sample of a Dior skin primer when I ordered an item from
the motherland Sephora. It made my skin look amazing. My pores disappeared as did red, blotchy areas. I was glowy and dewy and looked like I’d lost ten years and gained 24 hours of sleep. I wanted to order a bottle immediately until I googled it and found out how much it cost. It is Dior so it is a bit pricey. I could give up a habit to pay for it maybe? Like my espresso habit? Not sure. But, this primer also made Allure’s Readers Choice Awards for 2015. That redeems the priciness a bit, doesn’t it?
January Yoga Challenge
My girl Candace is hosting a 31 day New You Yoga program this month. If you’ve thought about trying yoga or are an experienced yogi, I encourage you to try out a video or two from her. Candace has a Youtube channel, all the videos are free and there are a ton. She’s got a great demeanor and is really easy to follow. There’s no hippie dippie wind chime music in the background either, which is a double bonus for me. Definitely check Candace out, she’s a star.
Are you sick of hearing about #Star Wars? Do you mind if I share with you my 10,000 word count review? I kid, I kid. We did go to see it over the Christmas break though and it was wonderful. I was seven or eight I think when the first one came out and I was completely enamored of the series at least until the last two movies came out. I didn’t care for those at all. But this version took me back to my childhood and all the adventure and bravery and great characters I remember from the first. Did you see it? What did you think?
