I hope you and your family are having a lovely Thanksgiving. We ate a while ago and it was one of those really great meals where everything I made turned out fabulously. Some years, everything or most things are just off a bit but this year all dishes were spot-on.
The turkey was juicy, the mashed potatoes creamy and flavorful, the stuffing a delight (I cooked it in my cast iron skillet) and the pies delicious.
Are you going Black Friday shopping tomorrow? I don’t think I will. I’ve ordered a couple things from Amazon tonight that were on my Christmas shopping list. Amazon is having some amazing sales this weekend. Fire tablets for $35 and 30 percent off any print book were a couple deals that caught my eye. The husband needs a tablet.
I’m tempted to go to Sephora on Black Friday because the sales ladies told me they would be having lots of $10 deals (is it bad that I know what their husbands do and how many children they have and what they planted last summer?) but I think a cold I’ve contracted will keep me home. I have to get better because I have to get my cookies baked this weekend to ship off for The Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap 2015.
Tell me how your bird turned out and whether you’re doing any shopping tomorrow. I know there are still a fair number of people in the U.S. who are unemployed. Hopefully you’re not one of them.
